Just another quick post this week to show you some nail art I did during the week! Some very quick nail art....I'm currently house sitting at the moment so between work, cooking, house work etc. there is not much time for nails, I'm just not used to juggling all these domestic duties yet haha!

Glitz and Glam is a 'glitter jewels' polish from the new essence effect nail polish range; it is a clear based polish with pink metallic hexes and an intense green shimmer.

I ended up doing a simple design of mint polka dots on a purple base with a little bunny on my ring finger. I was planning on doing something a bit more extravagant, like a pretty painted egg design....yeah, that was a fail haha.

I was feeling a little bit uninspired so decided to have a look through some of my previous nail art designs....of course I couldn't go past a little bit of leopard print and I just love this pale pink and gold colour combination, so I decided to sort of re-create a mani I had done a little while ago.

Two Birds Lacquer was created by a lovely lady named Stacey, who hand blends all her 3 free lacquers in Perth, WA. Her first collection, the Childhood Treats collection, was inspired by all the yummy lollies from her childhood.

Ulta3 'Strawberry Sundae' and 'Outasight'

Just a quick post today to show you some new polishes that were sent to me by the lovely ladies at Ulta3!

Ulta3 is an Australian cosmetics brand that offer great products for a very reasonable price. I tend to use a lot of their polishes in my nail art as they are easy to work with, have a great colour selection and at $2 a polish they are a very affordable option!

For this look I used two coats of 'Strawberry Sundae' and two thin coats of 'Outasight'

Nail Art Tutorial: Vintage Roses

Recently I've been asked by a few people on Instagram how I do some of my nail art designs and what a better way to explain then with a tutorial! I've been wanting to do nail art tutorials for a while now and now that I have this blog I hope it can become a regular thing.
 

 I decided to start with this  vintage rose print because it's a simple but very pretty design....So lets get started!

Glam Polish 'Unicorn Sparkles'

Today I have a lovely polish from Glam Polish to show you called 'Unicorn Sparkles'. Unfortunately this was a limited edition shade and is no longer available :( however if you check out Glam Polish's website I'm sure you'll find something you love just as much!

Unicorn Sparkles has a pretty purple base with a holographic shimmer and loads of tiny-medium sized hex and circle glitters in green, pink, purple and blue. It even has pink diamond shaped glitter!

This polish has a nice smooth formula which leans a little bit on the sheer side but can be opaque on its own with two thick-ish coats. I added a third thin coat for these photos just to add extra sparkle.

OPI 'Make Him Mine' - Mariah Carey Holiday Collection 2013

I'm so excited to share with you my first real blog post!

Today I have a lovely OPI polish to show you called 'Make Him Mine' from the Mariah Carey Holiday Collection 2013.

'Make Him Mine' is a gorgeous bronze liquid sand (textured) polish with loads of  silvery shimmer and small hex glitters. Like all the textured/liquid sand polishes I've used in the past, 'Make Him Mine' has an excellent formula and applies very smooth and evenly (almost no clean up required!). It also dries pretty quick and there is no need for top coat, which makes for a very quick and easy mani change.
